2011 International Islamic Finance and Business Symposium and Halal Carnival (IIBSC 2011)

The inaugural 2011 International Islamic Finance and Business Symposium and Halal Carnival (IIBSC 2011) will be held  in Malaysia from Thursday to Saturday, 6 -8 October 2011 bringing international delegates to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam to share  their latest research findings. The venue will be at our prestigious newly-completed Dewan Agong Tuanku Canselor UiTM that can accommodate 4000 participants and is perfect to house the entire Symposium as well as Carnival.

IIBSC 2011 is organized by the Institute of Business Excellence (IBE), Faculty of Business Management and Department of Students Affair, Universiti Teknologi MARA,  Malaysia and co-organized by University of East London, University of Sharjah, UAE and The Halal  Science Center, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.  Many big players from the industry are also engaging with us in this maiden event. by being co-sponsors. Participants and visitors can look forward to a grand official opening by YB Datuk Mukhriz Tun Mahathir, Deputy Minister, Ministry of International Trade and Industry and distinguished VIP, followed by eminent keynote speakers, international halal initiatives paper presentation, motivational talk by a young successful entrepreneur, academic conferencing, Islamic Business Carnival,  talkshow promoting Islamic lifestyle, DJ's corner, special appearance of Upin and Ipin with MyTV3, Islamic fashion show, Islamic Entertainment as well as a special showcase on Marketplace of Creative Arts by WIEF-UiTM International Centre.

This symposium will be opening windows for value added opportunities for participants to network and share experiences in  a unique inter-disciplinary environment among Islamic Finance Practitioners, Academics and  Entrepreneurs.  More excitingly, this event will record another milestone in UiTM as it will mark the rebranding of Institute of Business Excellence (IBE) to  Institute of  Islamic  Research & Business Excellence (IBE) which will focus on Islamic research  consultancy,  training,  publications and events beyond traditional boundaries.

The Carnival will showcase the Islamic Finance, Islamic Business and Science exhibition such as Islamic Finance & Banking, Takaful, Muamalat,  Islamic Tourism, Islamic Fashion, Halal Retailing, Islamic Entertainment, Halal Entrepreneurship, Halal Science, Halal Food, Nutrition and Medicine, Halal Agro Industry, international cultures and arts as well as performing arts, etc.
